An access road to the official residence of the Reichstag President forms an extended axis to the building, uniting the two blocks which make up the building, both formally and functionally, in the form of a hall. The main access level is on the ground floor with two main entrances on Dorotheenstrasse. There are three other entrances. The northern and southern buildings are connected by a passage under Dorotheenstrasse which also connects to the Reichstag.
