Model of the
Jakob Kaiser House
Since its opening in January 2002, the Jakob Kaiser House, which is named after the former member of the Bundestag and co-founder of the CDU, has become the largest of the Bundestag’s new parliamentary buildings.

Dorotheenstrasse forms the central axis between the
northern and southern blocks

Its position, right next to the Bundestag means that the members of the presidium of the Bundestag, its administrators, and representatives of the parties accommodated here will be able to move easily and conveniently to and from between the debating chamber, the rooms in the Reichstag and their offices in the Jakob Kaiser House. Like the other buildings on either side of the Spree - the Paul Löbe House and the Marie-Elisabeth Lüders House -it will be accessible from the Bundestag by its own pedestrian tunnel.
